Solon Vein Clinic is located approximately 4.7 miles west of Chagrin Falls, offering a direct route down Chagrin Boulevard and SOM Center Road. Patients from Chagrin Falls, Bentleyville, and the surrounding communities trust us for varicose vein treatment, spider vein removal, and the evaluation of leg pain or swelling. Unlike franchises or medical spas, we are a physician-owned practice run by two certified vascular surgeons.
Dr. Alvarez-Tostado trained in vascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and served as clinical staff in their Vascular Surgery Department for 15 years; he is certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. Dr. Moise graduated from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania before completing her vascular surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 2008, and she is board-certified by the Vascular Surgery Board of the American Board of Surgery. She later founded Solon Vein Clinic in 2019. Both providers are dedicated vascular surgeons by training, not aestheticians supervising from a distance, and all procedures are performed directly by the surgeons rather than delegated to assistants.
Chagrin Falls is one of the more established communities east of Cleveland, known for the waterfall at the center of the village, but it doesn't have a vascular surgery practice of its own. Patients who want a board-certified surgeon rather than a walk-in med-spa typically drive to Solon, Beachwood, or downtown Cleveland, and Solon is the closer option for most of the village.

We address everything from cosmetic concerns to bulging veins that cause physical discomfort.
These symptoms are often signs of venous reflux, rather than simply "getting older." If this is a daily issue, a screening ultrasound is highly recommended.
These advanced stages of venous disease require specialized, careful evaluation by a vascular surgeon.
Most patient journeys begin with an in-office clinical evaluation and, when indicated, a diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound. From there, your provider designs a personalized treatment plan tailored to your legs. Depending on your diagnosis, options may include sclerotherapy, microphlebectomies, or thermal or chemical endovenous ablation. All procedures are minimally invasive, performed in our Solon office, and involve minimal downtime. Sclerotherapy alone takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes, and most patients resume normal activities the same day.

While our single, centralized location is at 33290 Bainbridge Rd, Solon, OH 44139, we are just an 11-minute drive from downtown Chagrin Falls. Patients gladly make this short drive to our Solon office because it ensures they receive care from two hospital-trained vascular surgeons in a specialized medical environment, rather than a standard walk-in clinic.
No referral is required unless mandated by your specific insurance plan. You can schedule a screening evaluation directly by phone, email, or through our website.
Heaviness, aching, swelling, or visible veins that worsen by the end of the day are common signs of venous reflux. A clinical evaluation and diagnostic venous ultrasound will help establish an accurate diagnosis.
Yes. Dr. Alvarez-Tostado and Dr. Moise are both certified vascular surgeons, not aestheticians or nurse practitioners working under an off-site medical director.
Please wear comfortable clothing that can easily roll up past the knee (or shorts, weather permitting), along with a photo ID and your insurance card.
We also see patients from Twinsburg, Hudson, and Independence.
